Mr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University in 1980 and a Master of Science-Operations Management degree from the University of Arkansas in 1982. He was responsible for the design and construction of numerous high-value military projects in the U.S. and overseas, while serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1980 to 1984, and thereafter in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, retiring in 2003 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his military career, Mr. Taylor received numerous decorations for his service, as well as degrees from Squadron Officer’s School, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College. After leaving active duty in 1984, Mr. Taylor joined the engineering consulting firm of Reynolds, Smith and Hills (RS&H) in Jacksonville, Florida as a project engineer, relocating in 1986 to open their Atlanta office. His duties at RS&H included design of airport expansions, office building sites, residential subdivisions and highway bridges. Mr. Taylor joined The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York (MONY) Real Estate in 1987, as Engineering Officer responsible for engineering, environmental and construction due diligence associated with their Eastern U.S. mortgage and construction loan program. He was promoted to Engineering Vice President, and subsequently to Asset Management Vice President, responsible for an equity portfolio valued in excess of $350 million. In 1996 Mr. Taylor joined the commercial real estate firm of Concordia Partners, LLC as a partner responsible for all phases of the development of commercial real estate projects, specializing in retail. In 2000 Mr. Taylor and partners formed Sivica Commercial, Inc. where he served as President and continued his career as a commercial real estate developer until 2005, when he founded Mirabeland Investments, Inc. Mr. Taylor is a registered Professional Engineer in several states, a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, and an active member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. He is married to Rebecca and they have two children.
